
Ginuwine, born Elgin B. Lumpkin, is a Grammynominated American singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, and philanthropist. He first emerged as a member of Swing Mob, an R&B/hip-hop collective founded by DeVante Swing of the popular 90s R&B group Jodeci. Ginuwine signed to Epic Records as a solo artist in the mid-1990s and achieved tremendous success with his edgy and alluring dance sound. His early albums, including "Ginuwine...The Bachelor" and "100% Ginuwine," went multiplatinum and featured hit singles like "Same Ol' G," "So Anxious," and "None of Ur Friends Business." One of his most popular songs, "Differences," reached number one on the Billboard Hot R&B/HipHop Songs chart and number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Ginuwine's collaboration with producer Timbaland led to the groundbreaking hit single "Pony," which reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The song's enduring popularity led to various appearances and features, including in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV and the film Magic Mike. He also formed the R&B supergroup TGT with Tyrese and Tank, releasing the Grammy-nominated album "Three Kings" in 2013.
