Food and Beverage Blog - Oodles of Noodles!
Navigating the restaurants in Philadelphia can be stressful and overwhelming. We’re going to help narrow down the Philly restaurant options by highlighting some of the dishes at one of our very own eateries!
In this food and beverage blog, we’ll be tackling the tasty topic of noodles, a staple dish at Mian, the Asian restaurant located inside of Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
Noodles are always a good idea! They serve as the ultimate comfort food and will satisfy any and all cravings. Mian currently has four noodle-centric dishes on the menu. First is Mei Fun, a delectable dish that offers diners thin angel-hair style rice noodles with eggs, refreshing vegetables, bean sprouts, scallions and onions. If you’re a fan of the classics, Lo Mein always does the trick. Featuring the staple egg noodles with bean sprouts, scallions and onions, there’s no wonder this delicious dish is a best seller. Those that prefer a wider noodle would enjoy the Ho Fun Dish. This is composed of a flat wide noodle, bean sprouts, scallions, yellow chives, and onions. Finally there is the Singapore Mei Fun dish which is made up of thin rice noodles, curry, eggs, vegetables, bean sprouts, scallions, and onions. Diners are able to add a variety of protein choices to all noodle dishes. They have their choice of beef, shrimp, chicken, pork, and vegetables.
A tip for those trying to replicate any of these desirable dishes: Make sure to add cooking oil into boiling water when cooking noodles. Otherwise, the noodles will stick together before tossing in a pan or a wok.
